NOMINATION RULES AND DEADLINES

All nomination materials (Student Questionnaire, Research Essay, three Letters of Recommendation, Transcript(s), Institutional Nomination Form and, when applicable, a copy of the student’s Permanent Resident Card and Letter of Intent to become a U.S. Citizen) must be uploaded to the Goldwater online nomination site by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the last Friday in January. Incomplete nominations or nominations that are not uploaded by this date and time will not be reviewed.

Special Exception to the Goldwater Foundation’s Deadline Policy:
Natural or Anthropogenic Disasters – The President of the Goldwater Foundation may allow an extension of up to five business days for the submission of the nomination materials. When possible, such requests should be submitted by the campus representative to the Foundation in advance of the proposed deadline.

Closure of Goldwater Foundation’s Nomination Portal – If the Goldwater Foundation nomination portal must be closed and is unable to accept online nominations due to inclement weather, power failure or other reasons, the deadline for nominations will be extended to the following business day after the closure ends.
